Since 2003, when Malaysian's Muslim students for the first time arrived in Simferopol, Ukraine, we had already mingled and blended with local people here including the Muslim Community Tatar, Crimea.
From what we saw and experienced from our visit to their villages, we found out that Muslim Community Tatar here are far left behind from economical, political and also social aspect compared with other community here in Ukraine even though their numbers make 80% from whole population of Crimea, Ukraine.

Poverty is their main obstacle and they are struggling to fulfill their basic necessity such as foods and basic education for their kids seems very difficult for them. This situation make even worse as this country, Ukraine, was also listed by World Bank as a low income country.
Even worse, due to discrimination, most of them only manage to get low income job with salary around US$100 per month. For those with pension only around US$20 per month are even worse(meat price in market around US$12 per kg). For some area which are too poor, ibadah Qurban can't be performed as nobody has any money to spare.
On 10 October 2008, we agreed to establish the Qurban and Aqiqah Networking Service (QURBANBAYRAM) which aims to help poor muslim's community here in Ukraine.
By this program, we will help to collect funds and donation for ibadah Qurban and Aqiqah from the whole world and those collection will be distributed to several chosen mosque and village so that they can perform ibadah Qurban for Eidl- Adha. The collection also will be given to poor people and those in need.
This program will cooperate with international organization such as Foundation for Human Rights and Freedoms and Humanitarian Relief (IHH) from Turkey and Interregional Association of Public Organizations (IAPO) “ARRAID” which already have experience in organizing the program before. Together we can make others life better.
